Anomatic Celebrates 60 Years of Package Innovation

The City is proud to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Anomatic, a global leader in anodized aluminum packaging and one of the first companies to locate in the New Albany Personal Care and Beauty Campus. Founded in 1965, Anomatic has built a worldwide reputation for innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability supporting some of the world’s leading cosmetic, personal care, and premium brands. What began as a small family venture has grown into a company that offers fully integrated packaging solutions including stamping, anodizing, metallizing, injection molding, and decoration. City staff were honored to join Anomatic employees recently for a celebration marking six decades of teamwork and success. Anomatic’s end-to-end solutions, from design to completion, position it as a trusted partner for premium brands navigating the packaging market.

The Anomatic story began when brothers William C. and Ronald L. Rusch set out to improve efficiency and quality in anodizing. Their work led to the development of a patented continuous motion anodizing system in 1968, a breakthrough that became the foundation for future growth. Through the years, Anomatic has continued to invest in capabilities that support its customers. In 1998, the company began fabricating its own parts through high-speed stamping, strengthening supply chain reliability. In 2008, Anomatic expanded globally with a greenfield state-of-the-art facility in Suzhou, China, designed to meet high standards of safety and environmental responsibility. Today the company continues to emphasize sustainability, advanced technology, and global partnerships that support continued growth in cosmetics, personal care, and premium packaging markets.
