Collaborative Partnerships

Business connectivity and collaboration fuel continuous improvement in our service delivery by allowing us to anticipate what businesses need to succeed and collaborating with them to deliver those services.

Since the New Albany International Business Park was founded in 1998, the city, in collaboration with The New Albany Company, has spearheaded more than $28 billion in private investment by working together to create technology- and shovel-ready sites, establish state-of-the-art infrastructure and enhance the community’s quality of life. The city’s success in forging ongoing public-private partnerships has allowed us to do more with less, saving our community millions of dollars. For example, American Electric Power (AEP), which built its mission-critical facility in New Albany in 2008, allowed the city to lease its fiber optic network saving the community $7.5 million. AEP’s robust high-speed fiber is a key competitive advantage in attracting data centers and mission-critical facilities for some of the world’s leading technology companies, including Facebook, Google, AWS, and TJX Companies. AEP continues to actively partner with the city in attracting new business to the park and advancing our sustainability efforts. Connect with our partners at the links below.
