City Partner, VanTrust, Named Developer of Year

Shortly after breaking ground on its tenth project in the New Albany International Business Park, VanTrust Real Estate, LLC. was recognized as Columbus Business First’s Developer of the Year. VanTrust began development of projects in the New Albany area in 2019 with the completion of a 302,000 square-foot modern bulk distribution center subsequently leased by Hims Inc. in early 2020. Building on that success, other projects followed including buildings from 234,000 to 768,000 square feet within the business park. At the end of last year, VanTrust completed a 1.2 million square-foot warehouse for DSV, a leading global company in the transport and logistics sector based in Denmark. The real estate firm also attracted Virginia-based EdgeConnex which is building a hyperscale data center, PowerConneX New Albany Energy Center, a natural gas-fired power generation facility to provide power to serve as a primary source of electricity to a data center on the same site.

“We continue to demonstrate incredible momentum in the New Albany area, which demonstrates the extraordinary interest we have seen in this region as a prime location for business development,” said Brice Harrison, director of development at VanTrust. “New Albany is an exciting place for companies to grow, and we value our partnership with the City. We are eager to bring new companies to this thriving community, and excited to see the tenants this building will attract as the project progresses.”
