PARTNER PROFILE: Canine Companions Turns 50, Hosts Annual DogFest

Canine Companions, a national nonprofit with a regional facility in New Albany, is celebrating 50 years of providing highly trained service dogs to help adults, children, and veterans with disabilities. The organization’s largest fundraiser, DogFest North Central, September 21, is a great opportunity for businesses to get involved and support the cause by becoming an event sponsor or creating a fundraising team for employees. Founded in 1975, the nonprofit has help to transform the lives of more than 8,300 individuals through the support of community members, donors, and volunteers. The organization also trains facility dogs for healthcare, criminal justice, and educational settings. The New Albany-based North Central Training Center serves Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Mississippi, North, and South Dakota. VIEW VIDEO
