Three New Albany businesswomen have been recognized by local news publications for their leadership, commitment to community, and mentorship of future leaders. Columbus Business First’s 3rd annual Women of Influence recognized Tara Abraham, founder and chairwoman of Accel Inc., as a Mentor and Sandy Raines, CEO and founder of The Raines Group, as a Community Champion. Lisa Hinson, founder and president of Hinson Ltd Public Relations was spotlighted in Columbus CEO’s list of 2025 Inspiring Women. Abraham, an innovator in the co-packing and assembly industry, has shaped careers of future business and community leaders. Raines built one of the region’s most successful real estate organizations while devoting energy and resources to benefit her community. The loss of her grandmother to cancer inspired Hinson’s dedication to cancer research and advocacy as a member of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute’s Foundation Board. She cofounded Girls With Gears, a cycling group that has raised millions for Pelotonia, the hospital’s annual race for the cure.
