GET INVOLVED: Volunteer Opportunities Offer Deeper Connections

Is your business looking for a deeper connection to the community? The City is in need of volunteers at our community events! Lend a hand backstage at Juneteenth, greet event guests, or check-in parade entrants for the Independence Day Parade – there’s something for everyone! Create your volunteer account and find great opportunities to have fun, give back, and get connected at newalbanyohio.org/volunteer.

Sign up for the “Too Fly for the 4th of July” Independence Day Parade and be part of an exciting New Albany tradition! The City is encouraging neighborhoods, businesses, and community groups to build floats or create bicycle brigades to help bring the parade to life. The parade entry deadline is June 20, so don’t wait—register today.

Join us for New Albany’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration on the Thursday, June 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hinson Amphitheater! This community-wide celebration of freedom, culture, and coming together features live music from Chuck Starr Band and the Columbus Cultural Orchestra, powerful drumming and dance from GOREE, storytelling, art, kids’ activities, food trucks, and more.
