GET INVOLVED: Miracle League Seeks Volunteers for Athletes

Now that the its 2025 season is underway, New Albany Miracle League, the local nonprofit that offers adaptive baseball at an accessible stadium for children, teens, and adults with special needs, is seeking volunteer buddies to support them in achieving their dreams. Volunteers can get in the game with roles as coaches, buddies, game announcers, and facilities support staff. The stadium features a smaller, specially designed rubber turf field and athletes use special bats, balls, and helmets. The nonprofit Miracle League of New Albany was founded by New Albany resident, Kevin Klingele, chief of orthopedic surgery at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, who spearheaded planning and fundraising for the project that included the field, grandstand, dugouts, and video scoreboards.
