With two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power residing in foreign countries, now is the time for small and medium-sized businesses to increase their bottom line by selling overseas. Companies can receive 50 percent reimbursement on export training, up to $5,000 per grant year, through the Ohio Department of Development Export Training Grant program. Training programs help Ohio companies export their goods and services, gain export knowledge, and participate in trade missions. Through the program, small and medium-sized businesses can learn to increase sales and diversify and stabilize their businesses. Trainings must be successfully completed to be reimbursed. The current grant year runs through September 29. Reimbursement requests are due within 30 days of training completion.
