In February, Amgen, one of the world’s leading independent biotechnology companies, opened its $365 million biopharmaceutical manufacturing operation in the New Albany International Business Park. The 270,000-square-foot facility with a mix of manufacturing, packaging, and office space features Amgen’s most advanced digital automation and product packaging capabilities. “This site is pivotal for Amgen, enabling the company to scale up manufacturing, streamline assembly and packaging operations, and embrace digital advancements,” notes Sandra Rodrigues Toledo, Amgen’s vice president of site operations, in a recent interview posted on LinkedIn.
