Planning for the City of New Albany’s 2024 events is underway, including opportunities to support and partner with the City! Juneteenth, summer concerts, and Diwali are just a few ways that City celebrates everyone who lives, works, and plays in the community and now is your chance to get involved. Event sponsors will be recognized in marketing materials and invited to have a presence at events. Please contact Abbey Brooks for more information about these opportunities to build awareness for your business while supporting community programs.
Juneteenth Celebration
June 19, 3 – 8 p.m. / Hinson Amphitheater
Join the City of New Albany’s IDEA Implementation Panel to celebrate Juneteenth. Juneteenth, the holiday that marks the end of slavery in the United States, has been observed for over 150 years and is considered by some to be our country’s second independence day. Help sponsor this event and join us for a family friendly community celebration that includes music, dance, art and food!
Diwali Celebration
October 26 / Hinson Amphitheater
Join the City of New Albany’s IDEA Implementation Panel to celebrate Diwali. Diwali, or “The Festival of Lights,” celebrates the symbolic victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Join us as we celebrate with music, dancing, food, vendors and fireworks!
