Students, educators and community leaders recently celebrated the grand opening of the Johnstown High School STEM Innovation Center powered by Meta. The innovation center is designed to inspire and empower students to create, design, engineer, and build utilizing state of the art technologies, including 3-D printing and robotics.
“Central Ohio is really the tech hub of the Midwest for this high-tech manufacturing. And they’re investing, this is a partnership between education and business,” said Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted who participated in the ribbon cutting.
Last year, Johnstown-Monroe Local School District announced a Meta New Albany Data Center sponsorship to fund enhanced K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education within the J-M School District. A new Engineering & Robotic lab created by Intel Corporation and C-TEC of Licking County is expected to open this fall.
