New Albany continues to invest in new opportunities to get out and enjoy the summer. The City is preparing to open the first phase of Taylor Farm Park, which includes leisure trails, wetlands and an exciting playground. City Council invites the community to join them in officially celebrating the opening of the playground with an event geared towards children on August 29 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. New Albany is getting in on pickleball popularity with the addition of a 16-court pickleball complex at Bevelhymer Park that is attracting players of all ages and abilities. Seeking entertainment? Pack a picnic and enjoy the Hinson Amphitheater where Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat perform September 13. The New Albany Community Playhouse will present “First Date” on August 25 and 26. Two family flicks — Frozen and Moana are scheduled for August 15 and September 2, respectively.
