New Albany kicks off a summer of family fun in June. Celebrate Juneteenth with kids’ activities, dancing, drumming, spoken word and music on June 19, in the Hinson Amphitheater. The new event is an initiative of the New Albany Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Action Committee (IDEA). IDEA also invites you to celebrate at Family Fun Day with Miracle League July 1. Enjoy an entire day of festivities at the Independence Day Parade and Festival sponsored by the New Albany Chamber of Commerce. The annual event starts at 11 am with a parade and concludes at to 9:45 pm with fireworks. The 2023 Summer Farmers Market runs from 4 to 7 pm on Thursdays through September 7 at New Albany Market Square where you can enjoy an array of local produce, baked goods, coffee, artisan products, food trucks and more.
