Sara Zeigler recently joined the New Albany Community Development team as economic development manager. In her new role, Zeigler will oversee economic development efforts as well as marketing the city to attract regional, state, national and international businesses. During her 29 years with the state of Ohio, Zeigler gained economic development, government affairs and regulatory experience while working at the Ohio House of Representatives, Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, the state’s Washington D.C. office and, most recently, the Ohio Department of Development.
Zeigler’s responsibilities also include business retention, expansion and recruitment programs. “We’re extremely excited for Sara to be joining our staff,” said New Albany Community Development Director Jennifer Chrysler. “The experience she brings to this position will prove invaluable to us as we continue to attract and retain a wide range of companies, from Fortune 500 headquarters, multi-national data centers and advanced manufacturing companies to professional services firms and technology startups.”
Noting that she looks forward to contributing to the city’s economic development successes and cultivating new relationships, Zeigler added, “I am very honored and grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the highly-respected New Albany community development staff,” she added.
