The central hub links employers to specific resources for assessments, recruitment, continuing education and professional development, education and training, and tax incentives. Additionally, the site features policy documents addressing topics such as the state’s COVID-19 Return to Work policies available through other state agencies, such as Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
OhioMeansJobs Columbus-Franklin County is operated by the Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation, an independent, non-profit agency that serves jobs seekers and employers in Central Ohio with services and programs that include job expos, skill-building workshops and more. In addition to providing access to services from local and state economic and education partners ranging from C-Tec and The Ohio State University to AARP in one convenient location, OhioMeansJobs Licking County also houses an independent employment and training center.
The Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio will design a customized plan to assist businesses in attracting and retaining a skilled workforce. Jewish Family Services works with local companies to find, hire and retain top talent while saving them time and money in the process. JFS also offers referrals of prescreened job candidates, onboarding and retention services, training on workplace topics and hiring events. Additionally, the Great Columbus Chinese Chamber of Commerce works to foster professional relationships between central Ohio organization and the Chinese-speaking world while the Japanese American Society of Central Ohio allows members to post jobs listings on its Jobs Board.
