After completing construction and leasing of its first two properties, Northeast 302 and Innovation I in New Albany International Business Park, VanTrust Real Estate, LLC, has announced the completion of Innovation II ahead of schedule. Now, the business community has taken note of its success. VanTrust was recently honored by the Central Ohio Chapter of NAIOP, a commercial real estate development association, as its Developer of the Year.
Innovation II, a 234,000-square-foot building, has been fully leased to Rieke, part of TriMas’ Packaging group, a designer and manufacturer of highly engineered closure and dispensing systems for boutique manufacturers and the world’s top consumer brands. “As we continue to develop new and innovative packaging solutions, we recognize that expansion requires a good location in a business-friendly community, said Ed Allen, corporate manufacturing director of Rieke. “We’ve found that in the New Albany Beauty Park.”
VanTrust continues to increase their footprint in the city and has begun construction on both New Albany 315 and Innovation III. It announced plans in late October to construct a new 470,000-square-foot industrial building on E. Worthington Road – the firm’s first project south of State Route 161. Though no tenants have yet been announced for Innovation III, New Albany 315, a 315,385-square-foot Class A industrial speculative building located at 8950 Smith Mills Road, signed Takeya USA before a shovel touched the dirt. Takeya USA, a California-based active fitness brand that specializes in insulated water bottles and hydration solutions, is planning to use 120,369 square feet of that building as a distribution center.
Northeast 302, a 303,000-square-foot bulk distribution center, houses Hims & Hers, a fast-growing digital health and wellness company that provides online access to board-certified physicians, prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications. Innovation I was leased to Axium, a leading manufacturer of plastic bottles, caps and closures which has a large presence in the Personal Care and Beauty Campus, and Voyant Beauty, a contract manufacturer for beauty and personal care brands.
