Citing New Albany’s success in attracting the trifecta of data companies – Amazon, Facebook and Google – as well as personal care, corporate office, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution operations, Columbus Business First named Jennifer Chrysler, director of community development, to its Power 100 list. It’s the second time she has received the recognition. Chrysler oversees the master-planned suburb’s land use decisions, from its pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods and expanding mixed-use amenities to the New Albany International Business Park which has grown to 16,000 employees.
At the heart of her success are the city’s strategic plans that evolve from collaboration with residents and businesses to ensure that development protects and improves the community’s quality of life. She has also led the effort to create a fast and efficient planning and development process that operates at the speed of business and has helped the city land some of its largest companies.
