Not only did Innovate New Albany have a 97% occupancy rate last year, but the city’s incubator for tech startups and small businesses also attracted thousands of people throughout central Ohio to its workshops and programs. In 2019, more than 1,300 people attended TIGER Talks, TIGER Workshops and TIGER Tales at its offices at 8000 Walton Parkway. More than 150 people took advantage of free, 30-minute consultations with a variety of business experts in marketing, public relations, digital communications and the law who lease space at the incubator.
This year, the incubator is already on track to exceed those numbers. Its first Tiger Tale attracted 52 participants and its first TIGER Talk attracted 47. Ten experts held 37 individual consultation sessions as part of the incubator’s Expert Office Hours. Innovate New Albany’s formula for success was featured in the recent MidOhio Regional Planning Commission’s Central Ohio Workplace Incubator Showcase.
