In just a few years, Market & Main, a walkable, mixed-use development that anchors the southeast corner of the Village Center, has doubled in size, bringing more restaurants, shops and offices to the city’s center to meet the needs of employees and residents.
Anchored by the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany, a one-of-a-kind health and wellness center with state-of-the-art medical services, fitness facilities and educational programming, the New Albany Company and Daimler Group built the initial Market & Main I in 2015. The first phase included Mellow Mushroom pizzeria and Cameron Mitchell’s Hudson 29 as well as medical and dental offices.
Market & Main II, a 47,000-square-foot building at Market and Main Streets, opens this fall. The new tenants include Columbus Obstetricians-Gynecologists; Nosh Eatery & Creative Catering; Pet People; Freshii, a Canadian-based restaurant chain offering healthy bowls, salads and wraps; Board & Brush Creative Studio, a do-it-yourself woodworking studio; Hayley Gallery, an art gallery and one of the city’s first retail tenants; and Truluck, a jewelry and accessories boutique.
