New Albany’s Loctote Gets Shark Tank Deal

New Albany startup, Loctote Industrial Bag Company, competed in ABC’s Shark Tank and walked away with a deal. Loctote makes the Flak Sack, an anti-theft bag that is lockable, slash resistant, water resistant and cut resistant. The soft, flexible drawstring backpack is essentially a portable safe with a locking mechanism that is extremely difficult to cut and has been tested to handle over 1,000 pounds of force without breaking. The bags also feature an RFID shielding material that makes it impossible to scan personal data through the bag. According to Founder and CEO Don Halpern, a New Albany resident, the company plans to continue to develop innovative products to solve real-world problems.
