The Ohio State Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence, of which New Albany’s Economic Development Department is a partner, was recently designated a Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) by the Ohio Development Services Agency. The initiative, which comes with $8.6 million in federal, state and industry funding, focuses on providing consulting services that include strategic planning, product design, operations, engineering and supply chain development to small and medium sized businesses. As a regional support partner, New Albany will assist companies in the execution of their growth plans. MEP is a public-private partnership with centers in all 50 states.
