Charitable Opportunities
Launched by our corporate partner, Abercrombie & Fitch, the A&F Challenge is a music festival and party with a purpose that benefits the SeriousFun Children’s Network. The annual event features musical entertainment, food and drink and a 5K Fun Run and Walk. One of the special attractions is a camp-inspired activity area with a zip line, rock climbing wall, archery and arts and crafts.
The New Albany Community Foundation leverages the generosity of the entire community, from our residents to our businesses, to improve New Albany’s quality of life. From Safety Town and the New Albany Walking Classic to the New Albany Lecture Series and McCoy Community Center for the Arts, the foundation has led the way in creating the events, programs and institutions that bring our community together.
The New Albany Food Pantry serves families and individuals living in the New Albany-Plain Local School District. Families can make an appointment to shop the pantry on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Emergency help is available to anyone in immediate need of food.
Join women from throughout New Albany helping to build a stronger community through the New Albany Women’s Network (NAWN). NAWN is made up of more than 350 women who are interested in making New Albany a better place to live through volunteer efforts, fundraising events and special interest groups, including book clubs, playgroups and professional gatherings.
The only facility of its kind in Ohio and one of only two in the nation, LifeTown Columbus is a realistic, indoor “city” designed specifically to allow children with special needs to practice critical life skills they can use in the community while having fun.
The Honor Ride Ride2Recovery is a single-day, non-competitive cycling event with rides ranging 10 to 100 miles for all skill levels. It brings together active service members, injured veterans, first responders and the public to raise funds and awareness for Project Hero’s local programs that provide physical and mental health services to veterans at no cost.
Many residents, businesses and employees participate in Pelotonia, an annual cycling event that has raised hundreds of millions to support cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. In fact, New Albany is the starting point and end of the route for several rides throughout the weekend event.
