New Albany businesses, including Bath & Body Works and Alene Candles, as well as the Feazel president and CEO, recently received Pillar Awards for Community Service from Medical Mutual and Smart Business. The annual Pillar Awards recognize organizations and individuals that make a positive impact through volunteering, charitable giving, pro bono work, and more. Bath & Body Works supports programs that improve the lives of people in under-resourced and underrepresented communities. Alene Candles cultivates a culture of giving and helping others with its New Americans Welcome Program that provided 630 welcome kits to support newly arriving immigrants and refugees since 2023. Leo Ruberto, Feazel president and CEO, received the Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year award for his work as a board member for A Kid Again Central Ohio Chapter.
