Two local businesswomen, Marina MacDonald, of Red Roof Inn, and Joyce Peoples, of Wallick Communities, have been recognized for their respective roles supporting their New Albany-based employers.

MacDonald, chief marketing officer for Red Roof Inn, was among the trailblazing women in the travel industry to be named to the 2024 Top Women Leading Travel & Hospitality. According to the organization, the 2024 leaders “redefine resilience, perseverance, and innovation in a dynamic industry. From visionary marketers to champions of diversity and inclusion, their stories ignite inspiration in us all.”

Peoples, a human resource specialist for Wallick Companies, was recognized among 18 local human resource professionals in Columbus Business First HR Impact Awards program. An offshoot of CBF’s Best Places to Work program, the awards “honor the people charged with developing and maintaining company cultures.”
