State Offers Companies Wage Reimbursement for Export Interns

The Ohio Department of Development is offering the state’s small to medium-sized businesses that are seeking to establish and expand into new international markets 50 percent reimbursement for wages of interns hired as part of the Ohio Export Internship Program. The program matches businesses that want to increase international sales with highly motivated college students who have completed export-focused coursework. To date, 411 college students have interned in Ohio companies that participate in the program. Ohio colleges and universities providing export-focused coursework include The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business, Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration, Cleveland State University’s Monte Ahuja College of Business, the University of Dayton’s School of Business Administration, Ohio University’s College of Business, or Bowling Green State University’s Allen W. and Carol M. Schmidthorst College of Business.
