The New Albany Community Foundation’s annual benefit, Remarkable Evening, on December 7 will feature Mark Esper, PhD, the former 27th United States secretary of defense, and Richard Haass, PHD, president of the Council on Foreign Relations and former director of policy planning for the U.S. Department of State, in a discussion moderated by ABC News Anchor, Linsey Davis. Proceeds from the benefit help fund the Foundation’s grant making, community projects and programming in four strategic areas, including lifelong learning, arts and culture, health and wellness and a sustainable environment.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $5,000 to $25,000 and go to support nonprofit organizations and initiatives including the New Albany Library, McCoy Center, Hinson Amphitheater, Healthy New Albany, The New Albany Lecture Series, Safety Town, School Author Residency Program and more. To date, the Community Foundation has raised $30 million that has been reinvested in the community. Individual donors, families, corporations and foundations can participate in the Remarkable Evening benefit as sponsors by contacting Craig Mohre, president, New Albany Community Foundation.
