New Albany Welcomes New Black-Owned Primary Care

When Chelsea Mooreland, MD, recently opened Life Cycle Direct Primary Care in New Albany, she was among just three percent of all doctors in the country who are Black women, according to the Association of American Medical Colleges. And, at 31 years of age, she is one of the youngest physicians to open a private practice anywhere. Mooreland’s practice, a direct primary care model, is a membership-based fee structure that offers flat monthly rates.
