Amgen, one of the world’s leading independent biopharmaceutical companies, plans to to build a $365 million product assembly and packaging facility on 177 acres of land south of State Route 161 and west of Beech Road in The New Albany International Business Park. The first phase of the project is expected to include greenfield construction of a 270,000-square-foot plant that will feature Amgen’s most advanced digital automation and will be designed to maximize energy efficiency and waste reduction. Construction is expected to begin in the fall and be completed by June 2024.
