The nonprofit Canine Companions for Independence recently opened its North Central Training Center in New Albany. The 54,000-square-foot campus, which features state-of-the-art facilities to train dogs that serve people with disabilities. Smoothie King has opened a store at 5188 New Albany Road to offer its wholesome menu of healthy smoothies with fruits, vegetables and nutritional enhancements. Sheetz, an Altoona, Pennsylvania convenience store brand which differentiates itself with made-to order food, fresh fruits and grocery items, plans to build its second central Ohio store at the corner of Johnstown Road and Walton Parkway.
