The MidOhio Regional Planning Commission’s new GoOhio Commute is a new web-based service that allows commuters to find cost-effective commuting options that include carpools, vanpools, COTA and biking routes. The site calculates costs, transit time and even calories burned. Companies can set up a network on the site (a phone app will be released before the end of the year), where employees can find nearby colleagues who want to ride share and participate in company-wide competitions. Employees can also find other people who live and work nearby for ride sharing even if their company doesn’t use the service.
