Aetna, one of the country’s leading health care benefits companies, has expanded its New Albany footprint by 30 percent at its new facility that is expected to eventually house 650 employees. “New Albany provides reliable access to a strong talent pool and pipeline for health care jobs, including care managers, customer service and claims, notes Brad Fischer, market president of Ohio and Kentucky. “We consider the area to be a strategic location for our company.”

The new 50,000-square-foot facility, at 6005 Nacot Place, is located across the street from the company’s first New Albany office. “Aetna was one of our first commitments to the New Albany International Business Park two decades ago and we are excited to celebrate Aetna’s continued growth and success here,” said New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding. “We’re proud that Aetna is a top employer in our community.
