Master-planned as a pedestrian-friendly hub of activity in the heart of New Albany, the City’s village center continues to grow with more restaurants, shops and offices. In fact, The New Albany Company and Daimler Group have announced that eight new tenants will move into Market & Main II, a 47,000-square-foot building at Market and Main Streets in the fall. The new tenants include Columbus Obstetricians-Gynecologists; Nosh Eatery & Creative Catering; Pet People; Freshii, a Canadian-based restaurant chain offering healthy bowls, salads and wraps; Board & Brush Creative Studio, a do-it-yourself woodworking studio; Hayley Gallery, an art gallery and one of the city’s first retail tenants; and Truluck, a jewelry and accessories boutique. The Wallick Companies, a multi-family housing and assisted living developer, will move its headquarters and 90 employees into the second floor. Meanwhile, Kaufman Development is building a 130-unit apartment complex in the village center that is designed to appeal to millennials and empty nesters.
