2017 is off to a great start at Accel Inc., a contract packaging and hand assembly solutions provider that was the first company to locate in the New Albany Personal Care and Beauty Campus. Accel chairwoman and co-CEO, Tara Abraham, was recognized as one of the 2017 Women of Distinction by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Abraham’s “deep commitment to WBENC and to breaking down barriers for women-owned businesses” resulted in her selection. Abraham was also named one of the YWCA’s 2017 Women of Achievement, a prestigious award honoring women who have made “extraordinary contributions to their families, workplaces and communities.”
The company also received the 2016 Conway Family Business Re-Invention Award that recognizes businesses that successfully adjusted their strategy to address an evolving business climate.
