Ranked #1 Suburb in America
After reviewing more than 2,700 communities across the country, Business Insider selected New Albany to top its list of the 50 Best Suburbs in America. “A 21-minute drive to Columbus, New Albany has everything one could ask for in a small town, down to the white picket fences…” The ranking factors include commute times, public school ratings, housing affordability measures and crime rates. The Business Insider article references the 200-acre learning campus, 600 acres of public parks, as well as annual events such as the New Albany Walking Classic, the nation’s largest walking race.
Ranked #2 Most Educated Community
With 77 percent of its residents holding bachelor’s degrees or higher, New Albany offers prospective businesses a highly skilled workforce. In fact, a recent Columbus Business First article ranks New Albany second among the top 20 most educated communities in central Ohio. That should come as no surprise when you consider that the city is located in close proximity to 54 colleges and universities that graduate an estimate 20,000 students annually.
