Individual New Albany businesses may choose to have their patrons wear masks. However, any mask requirement will be at the sole discretion of the business ownership and will not be mandated by the City of New Albany.
State Health Director Stephanie McCloud said that anyone who is not fully vaccinated should continue to wear a mask, socially distance, avoid large gatherings, and whenever possible, be outside for activities and gatherings. Only by vaccination and following the basic precautions can we continue to lower the number of COVID-19 cases and save lives. You can schedule a vaccination through gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov.
Franklin County Public Health provides access to COVID-related information by zip code and generally updates these numbers Monday through Friday (holidays excepted). COVID information is broken down by zip code on page 5 of this report. Although New Albany corporate limits are smaller in size than the overall 43054 zip code area, this is currently the best source of local information for COVID-related cases for New Albany and surrounding areas. Franklin County COVID-related vaccine information can be viewed here.
